Tasting room

The Tasting Room is where the broadest range of our current vintages is introduced.

The entire estate is open for tasting our wines in a stroll or in a picnic, and our informed and enthusiastic hosts present tastings continuously in the Discovery Tasting Room, every day of the week.

Guests may guide themselves on a tour of the Landmark Ruins, one of Jefferson’s true architectural masterpieces. In its elegant Palladian proportions and siting on a gentle knoll, the house unmistakably recalls Jefferson’s own, and deeply refreshes our appreciation of structural balance in wine. We warmly recommend a visit.

A perfect place to discover Barboursville wines in a casual style. A tasting in this room entitles you to twelve current reserve wines, presented in .5 oz. pours by our knowledgeable staff, priced at $20.00 per person. Prosecco, whites and reds make up the tasting line up. Bottles and glasses may be purchased, cheese/charcuterie and light stacks, prepared by our Chef Michael Clough, can be enjoyed at cozy tables or the outside decks near the barn~served until 4 o’clock.

Staff in the Discovery Room is available to answer questions and a provided menu with QR codes is a great opportunity to view short videos of our winemaker sharing insight on all the wines.

The Octagon Barrel Room is open to the visitors for discovering an exhibition of the biography of our signature wine.
