Come taste Octagon in Bordeaux

At Vinexpo in Bordeaux, June 14-18, Wine Spectator will be hosting an unprecedented tasting entitled, “Global Connections,” for 1,000 guests from around the world who play an active rôle in producing or judging wines. With our parent company, Zonin 1821, headquartered in the Veneto and producing wines in all the major viticultural areas of Italy, we will be there to present Octagon 2010. New leaders in the production and distribution of the wines of all the Zonin estates, Domenico and Francesco Zonin, will head our delegation, and joining us from from one of our Italian estates, Rocca di Montemassi in coastal Tuscany, will be Federico Giovannetti, our winemaker-colleague also in Vermentino, pouring their Bordeaux blend.

The overall theme of this year’s Vinexpo, “Taste the Unexpected,” will be well vindicated in Wine Spectator’s decision to showcase winemaking entities producing in terroirs in both the United States and the Old World. We hope to be able to present this unique comparative tasting at our winery, later this year, but we sincerely hope to see any friends of Octagon while in Bordeaux, at Vinexpo.

Please check our winery’s Facebook page, for updates from Vinexpo and other tastings of our wines.
